Won a Sandton City voucher at our year end function last year, and had to spend my money somewhere, so went to SS and bought alot of random stuff, and went to eat some Chuckleberries burger.
After paying R50 for the burger and getting a bland dry burger, with no-good chips, I have nothing more to say that “Disappointing”.
Our Cafe up the street has better “Slap Chips” than this place.

On Friday afternoon Cindy and myself visited Die Werf restaurant on the Eastern side of Pretoria nestled within Faerie Glen. With a touch of nature and a traditional flavour of and old farm house(Plaashuis). The smell of old wood and a unique mix of food smells and nature just sets the mood for a relaxing meal and a lovely way to end the week.
We sat on their deck overlooking large tress which come up right past you into the blue skies.
A tradition I always do is ask the waiters what they would personally recommend, as they are the ones eating the food everyday for lunch or getting feedback from clients.
Our waiting, a very friendly chap, suggested we take the “Bord kos”(A plate of food). A very straight forward name, but very nice indeed, just a nice light meal for a Friday afternoon, for R29 you get a Pork espetada wrapped in bacon, served with a very nice sauce and two vegetables.
I was quite impressed with the price of this as I expected paying ridiculous prices as Die Werf is quite well known around the area.
We would have given this restaurant a rating of 9/10 but due to them not having Orange Juice in stock we’ll give them an 8/10.
I would suggest anyone looking for a unique dinner experience to visit Die Werf in Pretoria.
