Amazon has announced that they will not provide standard mail services to South Africa anymore due to “increased theft and fraud”. Now you can only use the courier services, which is alot more expensive than the other cheaper options. (broadband article)
Makes one think more and more of the “E” issue.

Someone at the post office just deserved decapitation. I don’t use Amazon myself, but to have South Africa listed as a “high risk shipping country” just isn’t kosher. What will our 2010 visitors think (if they’re even still coming)?
