We’ve succesfully rolled out MS Groove within a few business units at the moment, and even our Directors are using it now.

Last week I found that adding a 100MB file in a workspace that has about 10-15 people in.

It knocked down our internet access totally as the relay server were pointing to MS’ relay servers and the file was uploaded and downloaded from the MS servers and NOT peer-to-peer transfers.

We are now looking at way to all workspace members always use the fastest connection available and not draw from the internet …

You may want to look at installing the Groove Server so you have complete control over your workspaces and so you don’t have to rely on Microsoft’s relay service for synchronization.

We are actually looking into this at the moment, we used this implementation to evaluate the product, but got so overwhelmed.

We would have been able to have Groove Server running earlier if it ran on a 32-bit machine, and our 64 bit machines are already occupied, so we are now looking at getting a dedicated machines for Groove and Sharepoint server.
