I’ve been using Microsoft Groove quite extensively the last couple of weeks, and all I can say GENIUS!!
I’ve only been working on the peer-to-peer version, but am researching the Groove Server to offer more control.
Will post more information and experiences when I get some time.

I have been using Groove for a year and a half, and I could not do business with out it. I have so mane clients and partners that are not part of the same AD and also have different security permissions if they are on the same AD. With Groove and Groove server, collaboration and productivity are increased 10 fold. I hope Microsoft comes out with a fully integrateable version to the next SharePoint or the current MOSS version.
